At Century Park Animal Hospital, our doctors are certified to perform full abdominal ultrasound scans which will then be submitted for interpretation by board certified radiologists. No extra fee will be charged for the interpretation by the board-certified specialist. Ultrasound is a great diagnostic test as it is non-invasive, and allows your veterinarian to explore the deep structures of the body. Ultrasounds can be used for a variety of purposes including examining the animal’s kidneys, bladder, liver, gallbladder, heart etc. It can also be used to determine pregnancy and to monitor an ongoing pregnancy. If a pet becomes stressed or is unable to remain still during the ultrasound scanning procedure, we may decide to mildly sedate to ensure optimal results. This option will vary from each patient.

To book an ultrasound with us, please ask your daytime veterinarian to submit a referral form or please call us to book an appointment.
